Due to the pandemic and Cyclone Amphan in 2020 many YGB micro loan groups have suffered great losses. YGB’s NGO partner NISHTHA was able to guide the women’s micro loan groups towards new endeavors to help them recover.
Four of YGB’s micro loan groups are also selling their products through the WhatsApp Group that was created during the lockdown. One new WhatsApp group named, ‘Chashir Bazaar’ has been created in whose account; the money gets credited. This Money is then distributed among the producers. Though YGB’s NGO Partner NISHTHA has no role whatsoever in formation of this group they have given tremendous support whenever they were in any difficulty. This group was created by the members of SHE (Scholarship for Higher Education), and they are the one who’s operating it.
