Grateful for the practice’s origins in India, the birthplace of yoga, I am driven to contribute to the country’s well-being in whatever capacity I can. My journey has been shaped by the loving support and guidance of remarkable women, motivating me to pay it forward through initiatives like YGB. With a background in education spanning two decades, I am eager to lend my efforts to YGB’s mission of enhancing women’s access to education and empowerment.

mbarked on her yoga journey in 2008, finding solace and exploration in her tiny living room in Japan. What began as a purely physical practice evolved into a deep dive into yoga’s holistic offerings. Certified in breath-based Hatha Yoga by Akasha Yoga Academy in 2021, Ellie intertwines yoga techniques and principles with her profession in tertiary education, assisting students in overcoming public speaking anxiety. Transitioning into the realm of entrepreneurship, Ellie established Ellie Smith Yoga Ltd in March 2024, aiming to empower new and returning professionals with yoga’s transformative potential, particularly in mitigating public speaking anxiety.
