“Yoga is not learning, but awakening.

Yoga is trait of India, and I have been practicing and teaching Yoga for about 20 years. I visit India once a year with my students to experience and practice yoga, but have never done anything to give back to India. I have always felt a sense of debt toward India as Yoga teacher. It would be a great pleasure for me to join YGB and give back to India.”

Kim is Founder and Executive Director of Eductioan Yoga Kula Korea and Publisher of Yoga Journal Korea

At Yogakula, we build our community (KULA) for yogis with two rules in mind:  the first rule is that yoga training is always closely related to the way we live, and,  the second rule is that yoga is something you experience not only by thinking about the meaning of yoga.

Through the Yogakula Community, we perform “The Global Yoga Mala Project” in Korea every year to collect the energy of peace and hope for the unity of all yogis.  In addition, since 2011, we have been hosting “The Korea Yoga Conference,” which aims to connect Korea with the global yoga community.

Since 2003, I have been traveling to India for yoga training every year. I have met many teachers in India, Hong Kong, Japan, and Bali with whom I have studied and gained inspiration and energy. Through my yoga journey, I have found ways of Priya Vinyasa Yoga style and I am currently teaching this style in a Yoga teacher training course at Yogakula. I have led many workshops and retreats ,as well as several teacher trainings in Japan, Hong Kong, Bali, China, Thailand and Hawaii.
