Emery joined YGB 4 years ago and has been pioneering in grassroots efforts all by herself in her small town in Missouri: hosting YGB fundraiser classes twice a year at her local park, mobilizing local studios for the International Yoga Day campaign. She has volunteered over 200 hours for YGB’s behind the scenes work this year including this Gala’s organization. Emery leads yoga teacher training programs at numerous studios and teaches yoga at Missouri State University. Having two teenage children did not stop her from entering a Master’s program in Health Promotion and Wellness Management. Emery flew in to LA to help this year’s Gala.
