YGB’s NGO Partner NISHTHA, and YGB’s micro loan groups who have been making mats while other groups are shifting themselves to making edibles. 

The Bori (lentil dumpling) makers group whose business were doing well prior to the pandemic and Cyclon Amphan in 2020 are now suffering massive loss as the weather is not at all favorable for making Bori.

They have been helping the mat making groups. A group has been making  masks and there has been a good demand in the local markets.

These women gain economic stability as well as confidence to express their rights in many difficult situations such as domestic violence. NGO partner NISHTHA runs YGB programs in West Bengal with unparalleled dedication to improve rural women’s status.
