“One of the greatest gifts is for any human being to have a safe place to explore, experiment, learn, grow and thrive. I’m so grateful to represent Yoga Gives Back because it provides the opportunity for young girls and boys to get an education that would otherwise not be available to them and it funds local entrepreneurship, the natural extension of that educational arc of empowerment and self-worth. This allows people to “see” beyond their current circumstances to a present and future where they can be energized, self-sustaining and vital parts of their families and communities.”
Yoga found Jackson in New York City back in 2002. A lifelong athlete and maintaining a highly demanding career in the branding, marketing & communications world, Jackson initially met yoga as a means to heal his oft injured [and medically repaired] body. Little did Jackson know that the asana practice would “crack” him open and make space for the light of the other seven limbs to gradually creep into his heart and mind. He’s now a certified Yoga Alliance RYT 500 Yoga Teacher and is advancing his training in both restorative and therapeutic practices.
Jackson currently shares his practice with group and private classes at studios and for corporate clients in the U.S. and Central America. His dynamic, light-hearted, easy going approach is deeply rooted in alignment driven by clear instruction and appropriate modifications for each student. Jackson’s especially committed to facilitating the development of skills that allow his students to process stress and anxiety in ways that promote their physical, mental, emotional and energetic calm on and off the mat.
