While studying yoga asana, Mariko was introduced to and began practicing kirtan. This led her to the study of Sanskrit, which she continues to study along with the yogic scriptures and Veda. Immersing herself in the study of yoga, kirtan and the scriptures has greatly enhanced her life. Mariko offers kirtan events in the Nara Prefecture so that more people can learn about kirtan. She is happy to collaborate with YGB to share kirtan while supporting YGB’s beneficiary communities in India.
