In a world where we see need all around and wonder how just one person can make a difference, Yoga Gives Back is a way for me to know that I am undoubtedly touching and changing lives with so much potential. After hearing the founder speak, I knew right away I had to be a part!
Katie practiced yoga as a way to manage the stress of medical training and practice for 20 years before embarking on teacher training in 2023 through Yoga Six and Yoga Alliance. Today, she continues to practice as an integrative pediatrician as well as a yoga teacher at Yoga Six in the Kansas City metro area. Katie believes in the power of somatic therapies to ground and heal body, mind and spirit and as a tool to cultivate focus and discipline in order to grow towards one’s greatest good.
