An amazing Interview with Two Extraordinary Women
Kayoko Mitsumatsu and Belinda Carlisle share with Brad Szollose of Awakened Nation their journey of awakening and how Yoga influenced their lives.
Belinda Carlisle is an American singer and songwriter who gained fame as the lead vocalist of the Go-Go’s, the most successful all-female rock band of all time, and went on to have a prolific career as a solo artist. Belinda is the co-founder of The Animal People Alliance whose mission is to rescue stray animals in Kolkata, India and Chiang Rai, Thailand.
For her work with The Animal People Alliance Belinda is this year’s recipient of YGB’s Namaste Award to be presented at YGB’s Annual Global Gala on November 10th in Los Angeles from 5pm to 8pm. YGB’s Annual Global Gala is like no other, an exciting opportunity for all Yoga Gives Back (YGB) global supporters to come together to give back.

In this interview Kayoko shares her journey as a documentary filmmaker, and the realization of her desire to serve the women of India who face extreme poverty on a day-to-day basis. Through YGB micro-loan program and SHE Scholarships YGB has made an impact in the lives of over 3,000 women and children in India.
