Much of my work revolves around giving back to the varied and diverse communities I support. Many of those communities cannot access or afford classes in traditional yoga spaces, for a variety of reasons.  Therefore my work involves bringing yoga to those who could use it most, in a trauma-informed and accessible way. This is at the heart of my work, and it aligns so beautifully with the work that Yoga Gives Back puts into the world as well. I look forward to contributing further to that mission in my role as ambassador with YGB and to give back to those communities worldwide who could benefit from YGB the most.

Larissa R. Noto, JD, E-RYT 500, RCYT, RPYT, YACEP, PYI Yoga Therapist Candidate

Larissa has been practicing yoga, and meditation for 24 years, and teaching yoga, meditation and mindfulness for the past 8 years. She took her first class in 1998, while fulfilling a gym requirement in college. Then she became hooked — not just by the physical practice, but also with the way yoga helped her body, mind and soul feel both on and off the mat.

She is a former secondary school teacher and lawyer, turned 800+ hour Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500, YACEP), 95 hour Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT) and 85 hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) with Childlight Education Company. Larissa is two practicums away from completing her I-AYT certification from Prema Yoga Institute. Larissa has taught and trained all over the world in various yoga modalities, with a specialty in trauma informed movement that is accessible to all ages and abilities.

Larissa is the Owner and Founder of The Lovely Little Lotus and co-founder of Kids Yoga Storytime For a Cause, along with long-time friend, yogi and collaborator, Nia Watson, bringing kids yoga and mindfulness to caregivers and children, and then donating proceeds back to the communities served all over the world. She “retired” from the law in 2019 and is now a teacher, trainer, speaker and content contributor with Childlight Education Company (NH), Pratyush Sinha Foundation (PA), Prema Yoga Institute (NY), and Outside +/Yoga Journal.

When she is not sharing her love of yoga with others, she is a wife, mom of 3 boys, children’s book author, professor and special needs advocate. You can follow along with her journey at www.thelovelylittlelotus.com and on IG @thelovelylittlelotus or @kids.yogastorytime
