Please meet Suchithra (in blue) and Pramondini (in burgandy). They live in Chamarajanagar, Karnataka, two sisters receiving a Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) through Yoga Gives Back. Your support of Global Gathering for India and beyond is affording women and children opportunities they would not typically have given the harsh reality of many villages in India.
These sisters express their sheer gratitude for this educational opportunity that was unimaginable prior due to their family’s financial situation. Suchithra, a first-year student at a Women’s College in KR Nagara (Mysore District), is working towards her PhD in digital marketing while becoming a bank manager. She eventually wants to build a library for her village. Her sister, Pramodini is also a first-year student at PUC (PCMB) in JSS College. She dreams of becoming a doctor and and build a hospital for the poor villagers in the community as there is no good medical care for them.
It is truly inspiring to hear the goals of our youths. Most want to pay forward what they have received to help others struggling in their communities. We are creating an eternal circulation of gratitude and are all connected globally through it.
Over our 17 years, we’ve found many of the micro-loan and educational scholarship recipients we support and meet, dream of giving back. It becomes a circle of eternal gratitude. This is yoga in action – SEVA.
