After 30 years of practicing Ashtanga Yoga, I decided that it was time to shift my practice back towards earlier Yogas that I used to do, as well as incorporating practices I’ve learned over the past few years from ancient Yoga texts. For the past year I’ve also been in a Masters of Science program at Vivekananda Yoga University, which has broadened my views on traditional practices and sequencing. While I continue to teach ashtanga yoga, the sequences having had a positive impact on my life for several decades, my body and nervous system began asking for something slightly different, and so I listened.
