This January, we visited young women at a local hospital in West Bengal. They earned college degrees with the help of Yoga Gives Back’s Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) Program and upon graduation secured employment in the medical field. These young women represent a real change and hope in their village which is remote and underserved. Each of them expressed heartfelt appreciation for the educational opportunities that paved their way. They take great pride in their work and are committed to uplifting their communities by providing higher standards of medical care – standards they themselves did not receive as girls.
We have heard countless times how the SHE Program inspires its recipients to give back to their communities. This is one of many true stories that illustrate the ways in which your support has sparked an eternal “Circulation of Gratitude” in this world. After 17 years, YGB’s programs have a profound generational impact in India while enriching our owns lives through services to others.
