“As a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, I have received so much from my yoga practice. Physical wellness, respite from mental maladies, deeper self-knowing and self-acceptance. I also happen to come from a family of teachers, hence, contributing to a cause that empowers women and children through education in underserved communities resonates deeply with my own experiences. Education is a key factor in breaking the cycle of poverty, leading to social change and enhanced quality of life within communities, positively impacting future generations.”
