“Having observed firsthand the deeply impoverished conditions of many families in India, I feel drawn to express my gratitude for the many gifts of yoga I have received as a practitioner and a teacher. Through supporting Yoga Gives Back and its empowering programs that improve the lives of women, children, and the communities in which they live, I can do a small part to make the world a better place through my ambassadorship.”

Addie is excited to return to India with a co-teacher to initiate the pilot program, Yoga Without Borders – a brand-new collaboration between Yoga Gives Back, Rainbow Yoga,  and Edu-GIRLS. with the goal of bringing children’s yoga to impoverished female students in the city of Firozabad.

Addie is a natural teacher who brings life to all who set foot in her classes. She creates a safe place for students to explore their unique yoga journeys. They discover the opportunity for inquiry: physically, mentally, and emotionally through breath and movement. Her teaching style emerges from three words: journey, empower, and co-create. Each class is a journey, an exploration of a place, concept, or idea, through guided imagery, breath, and movement.  Her classes come from her heart, and they are created as a gift for yogis. Yogis can take the gift and use it how they need and want on or off the mat.

Addie, E-RYT 200, RYT 500, Certified Meditation Guide, and Expert Level Certified Sound Healer, completed her initial yoga teacher training at Kom Hot Yoga in Branson, MO and advanced training in yoga and meditation through My Vinyasa Practice in Austin, TX. Her sound healing certification was with Life Changing Energy. In 2023, she deepened her cultural, philosophical, and historical understanding of yoga during a month-long immersion in Tamil Nadu, India.
