Trauma Informed Yoga with Anouk Prop and Lara Land, moderated by Harmony Slater.

8am -9am PST/11am-noon EST/ 5pm-6pm GMT

During this session, expert teachers will shed light on the teaching and practice of trauma-informed yoga – a gentle approach to yoga practice that can help practitioners to manage and heal from trauma symptoms. A yoga practice that is sensitive to historical trauma experiences allows practitioners to feel more connected to their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and reduce and overcome the symptoms of trauma such as fear, anxiety, guilt, shame, depression, anger, and dissociation.  A trauma-informed yoga practice teaches us to regulate our flight or flight responses, and promote body-mind self-awareness.

Yoga & Motherhood with Sally Parkes, Michelle El Khoury, Sarah Ezrin, and Pranidhi Varshney, moderated by Julie Choi Trepkau.

10am-11am PST/1pm-2pm EST/ 6pm-7pm GMT

For many mothers, yoga can provide powerful tools to navigate the physical and emotional demands of motherhood including during the prenatal and postpartum periods. It offers many benefits such as improved flexibility, increased mindfulness, and a sense of self-care, allowing mothers to be more present and patient with their children. For many, the path of yoga and motherhood can be unexpected, as well, with practices being challenged by time constraints, energy levels, self-doubt, and physical regression. These topics and more will be discussed during this session.

A Woman's Gita with Nischala Joy Devi and Kamala Rose.

1pm-2pm PST/4-5pm EST

This session will explore the Bhagavad Gita by and for women. The Bhagavad Gita is the timeless classic of Eastern Wisdom reinterpreted from the perspective of two Western female teachers, Nischala Joy Devi and Kamala Rose. Nischala and Kamala have dedicated their lives to the Yoga Tradition. At a time when women’s voices are finally emerging, a feminine perspective of the wartime treatise could not be more timely. This session opens a window into understanding the Bhagavad Gita from through the female lens, seeking to bring the understanding of the Gita to a wider audience.

A Feminine Approach to The Yoga Sutras with Nischala Joy Devi,
moderated by Harmony Slater.

2pm-3pm PST/5-6pm EST

Nischala Joy Devi will share insights from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the principles at the basis of yoga practice, from a heart-centered, intuitive, feminine perspective. Her interpretation resulted in the international best seller The Secret Power of Yoga: A Woman’s Guide to the Heart and Spirit of the Yoga Sutras – the first translation intended for women. Yoga is well known for its power to create a healthy body, but few realize the emotional and spiritual benefits. Join us for this very special session!
