Kiyomi is fundraising is empowering women and girls in India through education, protection, and financial opportunity — creating pathways toward dignity, independence, and long-term change.
About Kiyomi

Kiyomi Takahashi is a Los Angeles–based yoga teacher, teacher trainer, and retreat leader with 17 years of experience. Originally from Japan, she weaves classical yoga philosophy, meditation, and breathwork with modern insight to help students cultivate strength, clarity, and inner freedom.
She teaches at Equinox, Google, and other corporations, and leads international retreats in Japan while serving both English- and Japanese-speaking communities through her online platform. Her work is rooted in the belief that personal transformation creates collective impact — a philosophy she now brings to the marathon course.
Why She’s Running

Kiyomi ran her first marathon 22 years ago. Training again at 51 has been both humbling and empowering.
“Training again now at 51 has reminded me how grateful I am for the freedom to move my body and shape my life as a woman on my own terms. Not everyone has that.”
That freedom — to move, to choose, to learn, to earn — is not universal.
For many women and girls, access to education, safety, and economic opportunity is still out of reach. Running this marathon is Kiyomi’s way of honoring her own freedom while standing in solidarity with those who are still fighting for theirs.
Every step she takes on International Women’s Day represents a commitment to a world where women are supported, educated, and empowered.
