Stella Han, MSW, is a Los Angeles–born yoga teacher with a lifelong devotion to service. Before stepping onto the yoga path, she spent over 13 years working in foster youth residential care and child welfare, supporting young mothers and children through some of life’s most challenging transitions. After experiencing burnout and compassion fatigue, yoga became her lifeline…a daily practice that restored her well-being and reconnected her to a deeper sense of purpose. This healing journey ultimately led her to complete her first teacher training in the practice of Ashtanga in Thailand in 2012, opening the door to a new life rooted in teaching, community, and embodied compassion.
During her years in Social Work, Stella was unknowingly building the foundation of her future teaching path through her own devoted practice. Since completing her first training, she has accumulated over 1,000 hours of formal study. Stella is well-versed in the Mazé Method, a certified Jivamukti teacher, and continues to deepen her craft with sincerity, humility, and heart.
For the past decade, Stella has shared alignment yoga, chair yoga, SUP yoga, meditation, and sound healing with a wide range of students, and she is now a veteran teacher at Kinship Studios in Highland Park since 2015. She proudly wants to serve as an Ambassador for Yoga Gives Back, an organization whose mission deeply resonates with her background and heart. Having spent much of her life supporting women, youth, and underserved communities, Stella feels honored to contribute to YGB’s work empowering women and children in India through education, opportunity, and sustainable support.
With Loving Grace,
Stella Han
