Archana is a certified yoga teacher, Ayurveda practitioner, and founder of Atha Yoga Shala in Pinner, London — a space where ancient wisdom meets modern life. Her journey began at age 15, when she turned to yoga to manage asthma — and fell in love with the practice that not only healed her breath but awakened a lifelong path of self-discovery and service. Rooted in India’s classical tradition, Archana trained in Hatha Yoga at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai — the world’s oldest organised yoga school — and in Ashtanga Vinyasa in Mysore. With over 1100 hours of formal training, her approach integrates Iyengar-inspired alignment, yoga therapy, and Ayurveda to support wellbeing across all stages of life. At Atha Yoga Shala, she offers group classes, one-to-one mentorship, and therapeutic workshops with a focus on hormonal health, cancer recovery, respiratory care, and mind-body integration — all grounded in the eight-limbed path of yoga.
As a Yoga Gives Back Global Ambassador, Archana is honoured to give back to the communities that shaped her path. She believes yoga extends beyond the mat into seva — and is committed to empowering women and children in India through education, opportunity, and collective upliftment.
(Archana’s “why”) – “I began yoga at 15 to manage asthma, and it completely transformed my life. Yoga has given me breath, balance, and clarity – and as a Global Ambassador for Yoga Gives Back, I would be honoured to share that gift by supporting women and children in India, and in my own small way, honour the roots of yoga and give back to the communities that nurtured it. I regularly run donation-based classes and events, encouraging participants to contribute to charities like YGB, and partnering with YGB officially would make it simpler to channel support and create meaningful impact. Through this role, I hope to live the principles of yoga beyond the mat, translating compassion, service, and empowerment into tangible change.”
