“This is what I want. This is what I learned from my grandparents: taking care of family with love.” ~ Lakshmi

Ruchita is in the first year as Science major at PUC (pre university course). She lost her parents at younger age and her grand mother supports her sisters by making flower garlands. Lakshmi, her elder sister chose to stop her education to help her grandmotherso Ruchitha can continue her studies.

Ruchitha has received the YGB SHE scholarship for higher education and is currently in the 1st year of PUC in Science. Lakshmi has no regrets about her decision stating “I will live to support my sister.” The family is still struggling but determined to help Ruchita achieve her college degree that will end this family’s vicious cycle of poverty. Your support is making a difference.

For $20 a month, you can help provide educational opportunities to youth and break the cycle of poverty. Your contribution can change a life. Thanks to your support, we are offering our SHE Scholarship for Higher Education to 440 underserved boys and girls this year.
