Your Donations Are Helping the Children of Deenabandhu Reach their Dreams!

With your support, YGB continues to fund 21 children for their education and living expenses in the loving home at Deenabandhu Children's Home Karnataka, India. This home houses about 100 boys and girls who have absolutely no other place to live. $500 a year can support these children fully. Join us to make a real difference in these children's lives and donate now!

Prisha is now in  Deenabandhu Primary School. She underwent a phase of depression in the previous year, but after a couple days of counseling by Prof. Jayadev, Nandini, Dr. Anouk and as well as by Dr. Alexandra Harrioson, she has recovered well and hasn’t gone through any such phase after that.

She is a part of her school’s theater group and continues to learn Bharatanatyam dancing over the weekends along with the other girls. Performing at special events brings her joy and we are happy to see her smile.

Chikka Nitish (we have two Nitishs at Deenabandhu Trust Children's Home, hence we call this one Chikka, “small,” Nitish affectionately).

He enjoys good health and is academically above average. He enjoys dancing and keeps performing in all the dance programs we keep arranging in our home.

Nitish is the eldest child under the care of YGB at Deenabandhu home, he completed his 2nd year of Pre-University College (12th year equivalent) in the arts and has joined CAVA (Chamarajendra Academy for Visual Arts) at Mysore.

He is in the first year of a five-year diploma. He wants to be a filmmaker. Mr. Natesh has taught him the basics of filming and is guiding him to accomplish his dreams. He keeps visiting us over weekends and at festivals.

He became a member of the home in 2004, after his farther deserted him and his mother being unable to support him.  His mother sadly passed away in 2011; however Nitish has grown into an intelligent, smart and articulate young man.
